Project Management

Smart Cube experience in project management is vast and depends on integrating the best practices of Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) and Project Management Institute, PMI’s project management knowledge. Smart Cube recognizes that the most widely accepted international organization that promotes a discipline of project management is the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has trained and certified all of its project managers and project coordinators on this discipline.

Knowing that the PMI discipline has derived from more mature industries, such as engineering and construction, Smart Cube recognized that the software industry struggles to implement these practices at the same level. By integrating the best practices of MSF and PMI, Smart Cube will be able to directly apply the knowledge to software development and IT infrastructure deployment projects.  The integration of universal project management techniques with the IT-specific disciplines helps Smart Cube create the people, processes, and technology synergies that positively impacted the level of project successes.

The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is a collection of processes and knowledge areas generally accepted as best practice within the project management discipline.

PMBOK recognizes 5 basic process groups and 9 knowledge areas typical of almost all projects. The basic concepts are applicable to projects, programs and operations.
